Saturday at 8:04 PM, Orange Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Hemlock on a family disturbance. Upon arrival, police made contact with a male and female who had apparently been fighting. The subjects have lived together for several years and have children together. Both subjects had minor injuries which consisted of scratches.

When officers arrived at the scene, the male subject had been in the street and approached the officer as he stood at the front door of the residence. Officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the man’s person. He stated several times he had been drinking earlier.

As other officers were speaking to him, he began using loud and profane language. Officers believed him to be intoxicated and placed him under arrest for public intoxication.

Unable to tell which had started the fight, police photographed the female’s injuries, but the male would not cooperate long enough for photographs to be taken of his injuries.

The female was notified of her rights regarding family violence
