Thursday afternoon, Orange police were dispatched to a store in the 1400 block of 16th St. Upon arrival, Officer Robert Campbell observed a while male laying on the sidewalk in front of the store, asleep.

When officers approached the man, he verbally identified himself as Jerry Sealy. Sealy had the odor of alcohol on his breath and person.

He advised officers that he was tired and was trying to get some sleep. He also stated that he had been drinking beer. He appeared unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech.

Due to the level of intoxication, Sealy was placed under arrest for public intoxication at that time, and taken to Orange County Jail
