The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Cora Lee Hines, 83, of Orange will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul C.M.E. Church. The Rev. Lionel Hayes, pastor, will officiate. The Rev. Robert Gipson, pastor of the Long Chapel C.M.E. Church of Lufkin, will deliver the Celebration Message.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

She died Wednesday at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

A native of Tenaha, TX, she resided in Orange 64 years. She retired from the housekeeping department of the former Orange Memorial Hospital.

She was a Stewardess, member of the St. Paul C.M.E. circle, and was also an Usher.

Survivors include sons, Billy Gardener of Cincinnati OH, Sylvester Nelson of Texarkana, TX, Vernon Grant and Cory Byrd, both of Houston, and Ellis Byrd of Orange; daughters, Evia Rogers of Orange, Beverly Malbrough of Beaumont, and Norma Sanders of Austin; brother, Leatrice Odom of Carthage, 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
