Three Little Cypress Junior High students represented Orange County and the Lower Sabine Neches Soil and Water Conservation District in the Regional Environmental Art and Essay Contest held in Jacksonville, Texas on March 25.

Kayne Williams and Sydney Smith, sixth grade art students, were Orange County winners in January and advanced to the recent Regional competition. Kayne’s art was selected to advance to the state contest in April.

Courtney Price and Sydney Smith were both Orange County winners in the Essay portion of the contest, and represented the Lower Sabine Neches Soil and Water Conservation District at Regionals.

Kayne is the son of Kevin and Angie Williams; Sydney is the daughter of Chris and Stacey Smith; and Courtney is the daughter of Dana Price. All of the students competing at this level will be recognized at a banquet in their honor, held in Jacksonville, Texas in May.
