Monday morning, Orange police responded to a call in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, Officer Kelly Griffin spoke with the victim, Linda DeVillier. DeVillier told police she is renovating the home, which is located in the 2200 block of Norwood.

DeVillier stated she last checked on the residence about two weeks ago. When she checked it Monday morning, she discovered unknown suspects had entered the house by forcing open the garage door.

Once inside the house, the suspects removed approximately 1,000 feet of copper wiring, valued at $800, and about 400 feet of copper pipe, valued at $1,000.

DeVillier told police she spoke with the neighbors, but none had seen anybody around the house. The residence was placed on extra patrol.
