Frey's Nursery broken into
Police responded to a call at Frey’s Nursery and Landscape in Orange Monday in reference to an attempted burglary of a building and attempted theft from a trailer. Upon arrival, Orange police officer Troy Tyson spoke with Mark Frey, owner of the business.
Frey told police that on Saturday about 12:30, all of the buildings, vehicle and trailers were secured. He said that at about 5:45 AM Monday, he received a call from the alarm company telling him that the alarm was showing that his business was broken into.
Frey stated that when he arrived at the scene, he noticed that one of the aluminum panels on the back side of the building had been removed. It is possible, but not known if somebody entered the building for sure, or if anything was taken. A cargo trailer at the scene was also damaged.
Frey also told police that the unknown suspect pried the lock off one of the trailers that was parked inside the fence against the building. He said that as far as he could tell at the time nothing was taken, but the suspect caused about $500 worth of damage.
Frey stated that if the actor/s were caught, he will pursue charges.
