Friday, over 600 students from four LC-M schools will participate in the annual March for Parks, which is sponsored by the National Park Service in Washington, DC. The event will take place from 9:00 AM until 12:30 at the Little Cypress Junior High.

A variety of activities, including environmental activities, crafts, games, food and sports will be offered during the event. There will also be entertainment and movies about the national parks of America.

The March for Parks event, which is held each year in conjunction with Earth Day and Earth Week, is to raise awareness and funds to continue the development of an environmental nature learning center which will be built adjacent to the campus.

One hundred percent of the donations collected by the students will go to the park project. This will give students the opportunity to have a hands on learning experience, in a natural environmental setting.

Students in each Little Cypress school will be collecting donations to go toward building the learning center in Cub Trail Park
