Officer James Gillen with the Orange Police Dept., was called out in reference to a theft call Monday morning to the 500 block of Bilbo. Once he arrived on the scene, Gillen spoke with the home owner, Mary Murray.

Murray informed officers that between the evening of April 15 and the morning of April 18, somebody removed at least 200 pounds of scrap aluminum, part of which were four 1984 Corvette six-spoke rims, from her yard without permission.

Murray also told police that the offenders made entry into her yard by cutting a chain link fence that surrounds her yard. Police observed small tracks, which were possibly made by a hand truck or wagon.

After police left the scene, Murray contacted them to tell them that the suspect also made entry into a building behind the residence. Reportedly missing were an Echo weed eater and a six to eight foot section of metal vent pipe.

Murray told officers that she will press charges if a suspect is caught.
