Craig Wayne Borel, 41, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, April 27, at his residence.

Services to remember his life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange with the Rev. Damon Bickham officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Born on March 20, 1970 in Orange, Texas to his parents, Carl Wayne Borel and Cheryl Marie (Davis) Borel, he was a lifelong resident of Orange. He worked for Alloy Polymers in Orange as a process operator and he also worked as a boat builder for Borel Boat Works in Orange.

Craig was a simple kind of man who enjoyed boat racing, deer hunting, four wheeler riding/ mudding, building boats and spending time with his family and friends.

Craig is preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Dorothy Borel of Orange and Chuck and Marie Davis of Orange; and his uncle, Richard “Ricky” Davis.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his parents, Carl and Cheryl Borel of Orange; his daughters, Savannah Lee Borel and Carlee Dawn Borel, both of Orange ;and his former wife, Tara Crone of Orange. Craig is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Len Collier, Todd Comeaux, Shane Frillou, Brian Herndon, Bobby Smith, Dallas Smith, Gerald Sonnier, Tom Stephenson and Michael Toomey. Honorary pallbearer will be Shane David Borel.
