The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Otha Lee Forward, 86, of Austin, will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. C.W. Crawford, pastor will officiate.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

She died April 23, at Gracy Woods II Nursing Home in Austin.

An Orange native, she was a 1944 graduate of Molten High School and a Qualified Seamstress. She was employed by the Claybar Funeral Home of Orange for some 30 years before retiring.

Before moving to Austin, with her daughter and family in 2005, she was an active member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Senior Choir and the Ruth Circle.

In Austin she united with the Horizon Worship Center and was one of the Church Mothers.

She is survived by sons, Rev. Tommy Forward and Wesley Forward , both of Orange; daughter, Elder Debra Hines of Austin; 10 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren.
