Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School standout, Zack Sonnier, signed on Thursday to play football with Northwestern State University.

Sonnier, a basketball, and track and field athlete, as well as football wide receiver, has claimed three LCM HS records in his high school career: most yards received in a season, most yards received in a single game, and first LCM HS player to ever be selected to play on the Texas High School Coaches Association’s All Star Football Team.

The State game will be held on July 26, in Cowboy Stadium in Arlington.

On June 11, he will play in the Southeast Texas High School Coaches Association’s All Star game.

Sonnier’s junior year statistics include 72 catches for 922 yards and 11 touchdowns, one pass for 40 yards and a touchdown. In his senior year, Zack had 69 catches for 1,015 yards, eight touchdowns and three passes for 105 yards.
