Her body was later dumped from the vehicle.
A 19 year old Beaumont man is being sought for questioning after an early morning accident that killed a 16 year old girl. Police are saying that Jonathon Benitez was driving a Cadillac Escalade, when the accident occurred in the 2:00 AM hour Sunday.
Police say the wreck happened near 5th and South Streets, and they believe the girl was one of four passengers in the Escalade.
According to police, the body of 16 year old Mandy Le was found about 2:48 AM at the corner of Angelina and 4th Streets. Le was partially ejected and decapitated by a wire that is used to secure telephone poles.
Benitez drove several blocks with Le’s body hanging out, then dumped her and her 14 year old sister at 4th and Angelina, then drove off.
An officer spotted the Escalade near the Blue Room on Fannett Rd. It was later found parked behind a home in the 6000 block of Terrell Park Rd.
Benitez’ 14 year old brother was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
