Thursday morning at about 4:47 am, Orange Police were dispatched to the 7400 block of IH-10 in reference to theft. Officer Caleb Davis stated that upon arrival to the location, he made contact with the store clerk, who told him that two unknown subjects had stolen bath salts from the store.

The clerk told police that a man and a woman entered the store and bought one packet of bath salts. A short time later, the female came back into the store and asked the clerk for assistance.

While the clerk was assisting the female, the male came into the store and went behind the counter, removing an entire case of bath salts.

The case contained 80 units of bath salts, valued at $16 each. The total value of items taken is believed to be $1280.

The clerk told police that the store owner will retrieve the store surveillance video and turn it over to detectives. On behalf of the store, the clerk stated that she will file charges when the suspects are located and identified.
