An Orange woman called police Tuesday morning to report her front door being kicked in. The woman told Officer Troy Tyson that when she went to bed at about midnight, the front door was secured, with no damage to it.

At about 4:30 AM, she heard a loud knock on the front door and when she went to the door, she heard her ex-boyfriend outside asking to come inside.

The woman stated that when se refused to let him into the residence, he kicked the door open. She said he kicked the door so hard that it cracked the door frame and broke the lock.

A friend, who was at the woman’s home was assaulted by the man once he gained entrance to the residence.

The victim estimated the cost to repair the front door would be about $200.
