Wednesday morning, Officer Troy Tyson with the Orange Police Dept., responded to a call in the 1200 block of 16th St. in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival at Superior Tire, Officer Tyson met with a female victim who identified herself as the owner of the vehicle.

The woman told police that she parked her Lincoln Aviator in the parking lot of Superior Tire Monday, at about 8:00 pm, to have a tire replaced. She stated that Tuesday morning, an employee of Superior Tire called to tell her that the front passenger window on her vehicle had been busted out.

The victim told police that when she returned to Superior Tire to check her vehicle, she noticed that an unknown suspect had broken out the front passenger side window. She also said that there didn’t seem to be anything missing from the vehicle.

The estimated value to replace the glass is about $300. The woman told police that she would like to press charges if a suspect is located.

Officers said it looked like the window had been broken with some type of hard object.
