Friday, Orange police responded to the police station lobby in reference to credit/debit card fraud. Officer Joshua Dempsey met with a woman who reported that on June 4, she stopped at Kroger on 16th St. to get gas.

When the woman tried to pay for her purchase several times with her Capital One Master Card,

She found her card to be cancelled. The woman stated that she then drove back to her residence and checked her online bank statement.

There were seven transactions on her account that she did not approve.

The woman was unsure about how her account information was obtained, as she stated she had never lost possession of the card.
