Myrtis Marie Peveto, 72, of Call, passed away Monday, August 1, at her residence. She was a native of Leesville, La; born Oct. 18, 1938 to parents Katie Rose (Burns) Roebuck and Carroll William Roebuck.

She was a resident of Orange, and lived the last nine last years in Call. She retired from Orangefield ISD as a custodian and she loved to cook and go fishing. She was a member of Colony Baptist Church in Orange. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Dean Peveto Sr. of Call; daughter, Linda Ford and husband, Ronnie of Beaumont; sons, Richard Smith of Orange, Robert Smith and wife, Diane of Angleton, Roger Dean Peveto Jr. of Call; brothers, Sonny Roebuck and wife Sydney of Sugarland, La., James Garrison of Jasper; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, at 10:00 am at Dorman Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friend from 9:00 am until service time.
