The Chamber of Commerce is promoting retail shopping, hometown entertainment opportunities and the importance of Education. Orange County S.M.A.S.H (Summer Music and Shopping Holiday), to kick off on Thursday, Aug. 11 in the Sears Hometown Store, will be a week full of fun and excitement for all ages, and will offer families great shopping opportunities with special sales and promotions throughout Orange County.
Thursday, Aug. 11 - SMASH Media Kick Off
4 p.m. at Sears Hometown Store, 2264 MacArthur Drive
Friday, Aug. 12 - SMASH Scavenger Hunt Begins
Grand Prize Laptop Computer donated by Walmart #777
Friday, Aug. 12- SMASH BASH Dance & Runner Reception
6 to 9 p.m. at Ramada Inn of Orange, 2610 I H-10 West
Featuring live entertainment by The Stark Experiment with free appetizers and cash bar
Free to registered runners. $5 entry fee to all others.
Saturday, Aug. 13 - FREE SMASH DASH 5K Fun Run
8:00A.M. at Claiborne Park, 4105 North Street (off IH-10)
Saturday, Aug. 13– Getting Chic with Fleur de Chic
Noon to 5 p.m., 2222 MacArthur Drive
Concert, refreshments and in store sales!
Monday, Aug. 15- Zumba in the Park with FitLife
7 p.m. at the West Orange Gazebo(off Western Avenue)
Friday, Aug. 19 - SMASHING SOUNDS & SPIRITS of Orange County Community Pep Rally
6:30 p.m. at Lion’s Den Park. Come out and enjoy the talents of the local high schools as they bring out their athletes, cheerleaders, bands, and drill teams.
Saturday, Aug. 20 - SMASH Scavenger Hunt Ends at 5 p.m.
Sunday, August 21 - SMASH SPLASH Ducky Derby
3 p.m. at Stark Park on Green Avenue in Downtown Orange
SMASH SPLASH Ducky Derby Tickets on sale at the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce and all SMASH events. 1 duck for $5 or five for $20/
SMASH SPLASH Grand Prize Nordictrack Treadmill donated by Sears Hometown Store
Canned food donations will be accepted at ALL SMASH events and will be donated to Orange Christian Services.
