Wednesday afternoon, Officer Michael Roush, with the Orange Police Dept., was dispatched to K&C Pawn in the 1400 block of 16th St., in reference to found property. Upon arrival, Officer Roush made contact with a woman who found the property.

The woman told police that she had left the pawn shop and was walking back to her vehicle when she saw a chain saw lying on the ground between the building and some shrubs.

The woman stopped an Orange County deputy who was leaving the store, for assistance. Orange police was contacted also for assistance.

Police observed a Craftsman chain saw lying on the ground and had dispatch check the serial number on the chain saw to see if it had been reported stolen.

The check did not come back as stolen, and the employees at K&C Pawn said it had not been brought into the store for pawn.

The saw was taken to the police station for safe keeping.
