BCCC names business, employee of the month
The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce presented Sharon Hogg, a payroll clerk with the City of Bridge City as Employee of the Month at the September Monthly Networking coffee hosted at COS Printing located at 1600 Texas Avenue in Bridge City.
Hogg has served the Bridge City Community for many years in several capacities from little league to city hall. She keeps up with all the details of the Community Center, Pavilion and Senior Citizens Hall, and is always kind when you need to reserve any of them. Having a smiling face that you can not only see, but hear over the phone is something you don’t see very often. She is always prompt with your request and makes sure that everything is done accordingly. The City of Bridge City is lucky to have such a wonderful person involved in the community.
Hogg received a certificate honoring her as the September Employee of the Month as well as gift certificates to The Record Newspapers, Bette’s Gift Shop, Luv Lingerie, Dupuis Tire and Service Center, Sonic Drive-In, Total Impressions Salon, Peggy’s on the Bayou, David Self Ford, Trendz and Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City.
It seemed very fitting that the City of Bridge City was honored as Business of the Month for September at the Chamber’s monthly networking event on the third anniversary of Ike (Sept. 13, 2011). The City has been instrumental in helping businesses rebound from the hurricane. They are always willing to step up and help the businesses as well as the Chamber in any way they need it.
The City of Bridge City really outdid themselves by applying for and receiving several grants to reconstruct several streets in Bridge City proper. The difference they have made to Ferry and East Roundbunch was much needed as well as one step toward bringing out the beauty of our small “bedroom community.”
A lot of good, friendly people work for the city. Karen Morgan accepted the Business of the Month certificate, a VIP Pass to Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City and a free oil change from David Self Ford in Orange on behalf of the City of Bridge City.
