Wednesday evening, Officer James Gillen, with the Orange Police Dept., responded to a call at Fox Run Apartments in the 2600 block of Allie Payne Rd., in reference to a burglary and an assault.

Upon arrival, Officer Gillen made contact with the 25 year old female victim. The woman stated that an unknown suspect entered her apartment without permission and removed a computer. The computer was a blue Acer brand, 8.9 inch screen Netbook style computer.

The victim told police that she had gone out for a few hours, looking for a job and when she returned home, the computer was missing from the living room of the apartment. Nothing else was reported missing.

The woman then questioned several neighbors about the computer. While asking a known black female about the burglary, the woman swung her fist at the victim, knocking her to the ground. The victim sustained small wounds to her elbow and knee from landing on the ground.

It was at this time the woman called police for assistance.

The door of the residence was inspected and there was no signs of forced entry located. The woman stated the door was locked.

The woman says she will pursue charges for the burglary and assault.

The victim was unable to provide a serial number for the computer, which was valued at $300.
