Two Louisiana residents arrested on felonly drug charges
Monday, Oct. 17, at approximately 11:45 pm, Orange County narcotics investigators stopped a vehicle traveling east on IH-10 in Orange. The vehicle was initially stopped for a traffic violation, but became suspicious of illegal activity as they contacted the occupants of the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found a pound of marijuana that was estimated to be valued at $1200.
Authorities arrested two Sulphur, La., residents, Michael James Trahan, 58, and Vickie Lynn Delcambre, 45 were taken into custody, and transported to the Orange County Jail on charges of felony possession of marijuana.
Bonds were set at $20,000. On each suspect, and both have since bonded out of jail.
