Gloria Chance Phillips, 61, of Orange passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.

She was a native and life long resident of Orange; born on Oct. 23, 1949 to parents Gladis Glorine (Willis) and Robert Lee Chance.

She was manager of the Motel 6 for many years. She never met a stranger and had a helping hand for any one that needed it. One of her great joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Chance and sister, Carolyn Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Phillips of Orange; mother, Gladis Chance of Orange; daughter, Tammy Cossey and husband, Michael of Spring; sons, Benny Standley and wife, Pamela of Villa Rica, GA, Patrick Standley and wife, Christina of Orangefield; brothers, Bobby Chance and wife, Betty Sue of Deweyville, Weldon Chance and wife, Phylis of Bridge City.

Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Krista Wilson, Katelyn Dickerson and Brenton Standley.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, at 3:00 pm, at Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, with a visitation from 2:00 pm until service time. The Rev. John Fortenberry will officiate.

Burial will follow at King Cemetery.
