West Orange – Stark High School honored veterans this morning with an Appreciation Breakfast. Veterans and family members of veterans were guests at the breakfast.

West Orange – Stark High School Resource Teacher Gerald Brignac shows a photo taken in a bunker in Vietnam. Brignac is a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1967-1970. He was awarded the U.S. Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. He also holds his dog tags.

West Orange – Stark High School Student Council Sponsor Jeannie Istre shows a recognition ribbon which the campus presented to their military veterans today. Wearing the ribbon is WO-S High School Assistant Principal James Acker. Acker served in the Air Force as an Explosive Specialist in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He has been recognized as an expert marksman and land-mind specialist.

WO-S High School World Geography teacher Lindsay Knolley places a Veteran’s Day appreciation ribbon on Grant Johnson, a Lieutenant Colonel in the active US Army Reserve. He is a Social studies student teacher at the campus. He has numerous awards and decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army commendation medal, and more.

Other members of the WO-S High School faculty recognized today were Franklin Gans and Paula Smith.
