On Tuesday, Dec. 13, at approximately 7:20 am., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a burglary in process in the 1200 block of Dolley St. in Orange.

The caller advised that the suspect had broken into a storage building and was attempting to steal an ATV.

The suspect was confronted by the property owner, fled on foot, and was being chased by the property owner.

Officers with the Orange Police Dept., assisting the Sheriff’s Office, located the suspect and detained him. The suspect was identified as 25 year old Wilson Lee Stutes, of Orange.

Stutes was transported to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, where he was questioned and gave a written confession of the incident. He was then booked into the Orange County Jail, on charges of burglary of a building. This offense is a state felony.

Bond has not been set for Stutes.
