Billie Jean (Sanders) Reeves, 80, of Vidor, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 25, at her home in Vidor.

Billie Jean was born Dec. 13, 1931, in Hockley, TX, to Charles and Lillian (Bonin) Sanders. A native of Jeanerette, La., she graduated from Jeanerette High School in 1949.

She married her sweetheart, Jeff Reeves, Feb. 29, 1959. They moved to Vidor at this time, where they have celebrated life together for the past 52 years. Billie Jean has been a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church of Vidor for 52 years. She loved to sing and play her accordion for the Lord. She was active in Sunday school, Children's church, the Nursing home ministry, Ladies auxiliary, and any other way she could be used for the Lord's service.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff D. Reeves, of Vidor; one brother, Donald Sanders of New Iberia, La.; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillian Sanders; two sisters, Gloria S. Brasseaux and Lois S. Verret; and a brother, Charles Tom Sanders.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Friday, Dec 30, at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Homecoming services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church of Vidor. Officiating will be the Rev. G. R. Edwards and Jeremy Fletcher.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., in Lyles Cemetery, Oberlin, La.

Serving as pallbearers are Gilbert Alston, Jim Pickering, James Young, Jonathan McManus, Jim Smith, and Robert Lindsey.

Honorary pallbearers are the Rev. Stephen Young, J. J. Petrucci, Charles Johnson, and Wayne Charboneau.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Total Care-Hospice; the special ladies who made her last days easier, Judy Smith, Tonya Munson, Judy Munson, Brandie LeGlue, DeLinda Keller, and her friend/caregiver of 11 years, Barbara Johnson.
