Jill Quigley Edwards, 78, of Orange passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, at Orange Baptist Hospital.

She was a native of Waring, TX; born on Aug. 13, 1933 to her late parents, Thelma (King) and Richard Quigley.

She lived in Orange for 50 years. She married Floyd “Hap” Edwards in Sinton, TX., on March 15, 1957. She earned a bachelor degree from the University of Texas in sociology and retired from Texas Employment Commission as a supervisor after many years of service.

Mrs. Edwards was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Quigley; and husband, Floyd Ellis Edwards.

Those left to cherish her memory most are her son, Rick Edwards of Orange; brother, Jack Quigley of Bridge City; grandchildren, Abby Edwards, Jacob Edwards, Jaclyn Moore and husband, Frank, Adam Anderson and wife, Heather; great grandchildren, Shelton Moore, Lucas Moore, Madison Moore, Logan Anderson, Lily Anderson.

Also she is survived by her niece, Pat Burton and husband, Steve of Dallas and nephew, Mike Quigley of Bridge City.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, at 2:00 pm at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. Services under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
