Jimmy Wayne Green, 64, of Orange passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at MD Anderson in Houston.

He was native of Orange; born on Feb. 4, 1948 to the late Laura (Ayres) and Elijah Green. He graduated from LA Tech with an Associate Degree in engineering and he retired from Exxon Mobil in Beaumont with 35 years of employment. He was a member of Family Worship Center in Orange, where he loved to play his guitar. He enjoyed going camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

Jimmy played football at Kinder High School; he was a member of All State Team in 1965, he was All State Player in 1966 and he also was All State Track in 1965 and 1966.

Jimmy was a Navy 2nd Class, serving his country from 1968 until 1972 during the Vietnam War.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Green; sister, Janice Brown; brother, Huey Cecil Green.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Catherine (Dees) Green of Orange; daughter, Tanya Lunsford and husband, Richard of Orange; sons, Preston Burnett and wife, Valerie Lemaire of Vinton, Brandon Peveto and wife, Stephanie of Orange; sister, Nobie Rothell of Arkansas. Also left to cherish his memory are 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Family Worship Center in Orange.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 2:00 pm at the church, with Pastor Tony Story officiating. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. Services under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Preston Burnett, Eddie Vaughn, Richard Lunsford, Joe Lowery, Joey Broussard, James Broussard, Billy Lawson, Joe Broussard and William Semons. Honorary pallbearers are the grandchildren and the members of Coker Dogs.
