Rebecca Parker "Becky" Jones 80, died Dec. 15, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland,Ms.

Funeral services were held at Short Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Burial followed at Short Creek Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born Oct. 23, 1931 in Port Arthur, to Clarence and Florence Sudduth Parker. She spent most of her life in Bridge City, before moving to Yazoo City,Ms in 1985.

She was preceded in death by a son, David M. Jones; two brothers, Jack Parker and Clarence Parker; two sisters, Mary Baker and Gloria Harrison, and a great- grandson, Jason Paul Ross.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Jones of Yazoo City,Ms; two sons, Glenn Jones (Sarah) of Baton Rouge, La. and Sam Lynn Jones (Kay) of Clinton, Ms; two daughters, Laura Mayo (Greg) of Pineville, La. and Becky Ann Towne (Scott) of Vicksburg, Ms; a sister, Betty Matthews of Pineville,La; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Jason Ross, Bryan Ross, Austin Jones, Aaron Nunn, Andrew Nunn and Peter Foster.
