Thursday morning, police were dispatched to 3 Regency Place in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Officer Theodore Hilyar arrived on the scene and met with the victim, Jerry Smith, who advised officers that he parked and locked his vehicle at his residence the previous day at about 1:30 pm.

Smith said he went to his vehicle Thursday morning and he found the inside of the vehicle had been rummaged through, and items were missing,

Among items missing were a Compass Bank checkbook, cell phone, Garmin GPS unit, Kodak digital camera and miscellaneous tools.

Smith said he didn’t know of a suspect, but stated that if a suspect is located, he would pursue charges.

The value of the items stolen are over $700.
