Clayton Black Curtice, 54, of Port Arthur, passed away on Feb. 11, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1957 to Charles Curtice and JoAnn Theriot Curtice. He was a lifelong area resident and was a retired pipefitter/rig welder from Local 195. Clayton was a member of Church on the Rock of Port Acres.

He is survived by his mother JoAnn Curtice; son Josh Curtice and wife Ashlea of Groves; daughters Amber Curtice and fiancé Brian Arthur of Austin, Savannah Curtice of Houston and Mindy McGee and husband Jason of Bridge City.

He is also survived by two grandchildren: Clayton and Conner Curtice; brothers Charles Curtice and wife Libbey of Beaumont, Clinton Curtice and wife Sherry of Beaumont; sisters Charlotte Fontenot and husband David of Nederland, Sadie Sterling and husband Arlin of Nederland. Clayton is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles B. Curtice; sister Gay Nell Curtice and brother Frank Hall.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Melancon's Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, in Nederland with Mike Deasy officiating. Internment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon's Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
