Jack Morris Tinsley, 76, of Nederland, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 22. Born Jan. 7, 1936, to Ida Pearl and Charles Monroe Tinsley in San Augustine, he was a resident of the Nederland area for 50 years.

Jack was a retired pipefitter, having worked over 20 years with Mobil Chemical, and also was a member of Pipefitters Local #195. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his sons, and loved his grandchildren dearly. Jack was a very caring, loving, and giving person. He was an ideal husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather to his loved ones.

Jack is survived by his wife, Joann Tinsley of Nederland; sons, Jackie Tinsley, Jr., Alan Tinsley and his wife, Diane, and Curtis Tinsley and his wife, Judy, all of Nederland, and Monroe Tinsley and his wife, Sandy of Groves; sister, Francis Winfrey of Bridge City; brother, Paul Tinsley of Beaumont; grandchildren, Marley Tinsley, Jeremy Tinsley and his wife, Kira, Aaron Tinsley, Shannon Danner and her husband, Clint, Curtis Tinsley, Jr. and wife, Meghan, and Tori Tinsley; and great grandchildren, Jordan Tinsley, Julian Tinsley, Jack Tinsley, Beau Danner, and Azlynn Tinsley.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters, Otis, Betty, Gussie, Harold, Ruth, and Joyce.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
