Dorothy Irene Baker, 79, of Vidor died Monday, March 12, at her residence in Vidor.

A native of Fullerton, LA, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Dorothy was the food service manager for Vidor ISD for 20 years and Lufkin ISD for 12 years before retiring. She was a member of the Resurrection Life Church in Vidor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday March 16, at Resurrection Life Church, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 15, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Ronnie and David Baker, Daughter Janet Cascio all of Vidor; brothers, Leon Swain of Rose Pine, LA, Donald Swain of Pitkin, LA; sisters Ethel Sweat of DeRidder, Wanda Maricle and Donna West both of Pitkin, Carolyn Thompson of Kinder, TX; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
