Minnie Ray Sebolt, 79 of Hartburg, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 14, in Beaumont.

Services to remember her life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange with Minnie’s brother-in-law, the Rev. Jim Phillips, pastor of the Parkway Baptist Church in Minden, La., officiating.

A gathering of family and friends for a time of reflection and memories will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Rite of committal and interment will follow services in King Cemetery in Hartburg.

Minnie was born on Oct. 11, 1932 in Orange to her parents, Clarence Burch and Lois Odell (Thomasee) Burch, she was a lifelong resident of Southeast Texas, living in Hartburg since 1952. Minnie did many things for work during her life and was a joy to many persons. Minnie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville and had been a member of the Hartburg Baptist Church in Hartburg. Minnie will be remembered as a person who was full of life, energetic, loving, generous, she had a vibrant personality, she was a ray of sunshine and she lived her life without limits. Minnie had many things left to do in her life that many people would not have even considered.

Minnie is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jimmy Lee Fomby; her first husband, Herbert Leslie Ray; her second husband, Gene Sebolt; her brothers, Bobby C. Burch, George D. Burch, Amos H. Burch, Clarence E. “Pedro” Burch, Joseph White, Gerald White; her sister, Winnie Lee Burch.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Ray Holst of Hartburg; her sisters, Annette Phillips and husband, Jim of Minden, La., Jackie Sharon Hutson and husband, James “Pee Wee” of Orange, Mary Janice Smith and husband, Robert of Minden, La .; her brothers, Billy Ray Burch and wife, Nita of Orange, James Bruce Burch and wife, Susie of Hartburg and Allen Wayne Burch and wife, Debbie of Deweyville; her grandchildren, Hollis P. “Traay” Frost III of Orange and Leslie Amber Ross of Hartburg; her great grandchildren, Slayde Allen Jay of Vidor, Cole Blaiden Frost of Orange, Brooklynn Paige Leckelt of Hartburg and Mason Paul Leckelt of Hartburg.

Minnie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Honoring Minnie as pallbearers are Hollis P. “Traay” Frost III, James Allen Burch, Norman Dale Burch, James “Bubba” Hutson Jr., Steven Richard and Jim Hamilton.
