Rosemarie Petersen, 70, of Orange, passed away on Tuesday March 14, after a long illness, with her husband at her side.

Rosemarie was born Feb. 21, 1942 in Metz, France to parents, Charles and Rose Henn. Rosemarie graduated from Lamar University in 1978 with a teaching degree in French and Spanish. She began her teaching career in Lumberton ISD for seven years, then Little Cypress-Mauriceville ISD for 15 years, Port Arthur ISD for six years, and West Orange-Cove CISD for six years, where she was currently employed.

Rosemarie was preceeded in death by her parents Charles Henn, mother Rose Bindel Henn, brother Rudolph Henn and sister Charolet Henn Burke.

She is survived by her loving husband Ronald; son David Ellis and wife Maria of Vidor; granddaughters Karina and Lorainne Ellis; Step-Daughter Ronda Petersen Lamont and family; niece Eva Rivers and family of Shreveport La; and nephew Stanley Rogers of Lake Charles.
