Dorothy Eve Peltier, 84, of Port Arthur, passed away Saturday, March 17, in Port Arthur.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1928, to Clarence and Erasie Hebert in St. Martinsville, LA. Dorothy was a resident of Port Arthur for 65 years and a member of Little Flower Catholic Church.

She enjoyed gardening, music and dancing, being involved in her church, and socializing with family and friends. She was a very active member of her Greens Community, Altar Society, Red Hat Ladies, and the Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Peltier; her parents; two sisters, Joyce Harrison and Sybil Roy.

Her survivors include three sons, Johnny Peltier and wife, Julie of Fred, Richard Dickie Peltier and wife, Ani of the Philippines, Chris Peltier and wife, Angie of Fannett; three daughters, Brenda Laird and husband, George of Pearland, Linda Doré of Port Arthur, Cindy Alphin and husband, Ricky of Bridge City; one brother, C.J. Hebert and wife, Gladys of Nederland; two sisters, Willa Mae Berard of Loreauville, LA, Zella Lopez and husband, Manuel of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of her family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, at Little Flower Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
