Earl Henry Bilbo, 86, of Orange, passed away Monday, March, 19, at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston.

Earl was born on April 19, 1925 in Orange, to his parents, John C. Bilbo and Dora (Stark) Bilbo. He was a lifelong resident of Orange, worked for the Levingston Shipbuilding Company in Orange as a ship fitter and he was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Walthall Bilbo; his granddaughter, Meredith Reneé DuBois; four sisters and six brothers.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his daughter, Rachel DuBois and husband, Charles, Sr. of Orange; his grandson, Dr. Charles J. DuBois, Jr. and wife, Sonya of Wilmington, DE., and his great granddaughter, Kimberly Ann DuBois. Earl is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 23, at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, 5450 Old Highway 90 in Orange, with the Rev. Tom Haas of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 2300 Eddleman Road, Orange, Texas 77632, 883-5145.
