Bridge City

Eugene Paul Hidalgo, 72, of Bridge City passed away on Wednesday, March 21, in Orange.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Dorman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Zoch officiating. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

He was a native of Opelousas, La. ; born on Aug. 13, 1939 to his late parents Sophie (Ray) and Renne` Hidalgo. He had lived in the Orange area since 1963 and was a product area specialist supervisor at DuPont for 37 years. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bridge City for many years, served his country in the Army and he was a 32nd Degree Mason with Lodge #1345. He loved the great outdoors; going hunting and just enjoying nature, especial bird watching. Mr. Hidalgo was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene and Sophie Ray Hidalgo; wife, Judi Ann Hidalgo; brother, Theo Hidalgo, MervinHidalgo; sisters, Gladys Leibert and Marie Louise Lucito.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Ann Fall of Orange; sons, Lanston Fall and wife, Cristi of Orange, Chuck Leizure of Cle Elum, Wash., Charles Ben Hidalgo of Bridge City, Mitchell Warren Hidalgo of Bridge City; brother, Joseph Hidalgo and wife, Barbara of Opelousas, La .; grandchildren, Lance Fall, Kristen Williams, Tyson Plagens, Alex Hidalgo, M`Kenzie Jones, Cody Harper, Haley LeBlanc and great grandchildren, Carson Fall, Camden Fall, Hannah LeBlanc and Allie Joe LeBlanc.
