Gertie B. Crockett of Orange, died at her home on March 15, after a short illness.

Mrs. Crockett was active in the community and employed with the City of Orange Housing Authority for eight years. She was a native of Jeanerette, LA., and resided in Orange for many years.

Home going celebration will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Greater St Paul Christian Fellowship Church located at 1704 North 14th street where Bishop Raymond C. Young is pastor. The Rev. Herbert Winston will be giving the eulogy.

Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow at Magnolia Memorial Garden in Orange, under the direction of Colonial Memorial Chapel.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons G.C. Crockett Jr. of Orange, and Jerome T. Crockett of Brownsville. Two daughters, Nathalie C. Mitchell and Shelia D. Crockett both of Orange. Two sisters, Gerti M. Guidry of Beaumont, and Daisy Ledet of Orange. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
