Jerry Linn Mosley, 57, of Newton passed away on Friday, March 23, surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held today, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Dorman Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at King Cemetery.

He had lived the last 40 years in Newton, Texas; born on Aug. 2, 1954 in Orange to Julius and Eloise (Waller) Mosley. He was employed with Chance Construction as a supervisor for seven years. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, deer hunting and spending time with his family and especial his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Mosley; daughter, Misty Mosley; son in law, Rodney Jarvis; and sisters, Jannette Welch and Judy Shute.

He is survived by his wife, Becky (Perry) Mosley of Newton; mother, Eloise Mosley of Hartburg; daughter, Fashion Mosley Jarvis Herrin of Bonwier; sisters, Janice Hardin and husband, JR of Deweyville, Joan Hogg and husband, Calvin of Orangefield, Jo Marie Shute of Orange, Joyce Owens and husband, Wayne of Hernandez, Fla .; grandchildren, Heather Godeaux, Kourtnie Jarvis, Jorei Torres; great granddaughter, Jaydah Michelle Samuel and a large extended family.
