Like their baseball counterparts, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears softball team keep rolling along.

The Lady Bears (6-1) and ranked number three in Class 4A statewide, beat Nederland 4-3 in district action.

The Bridge City Lady Cardinals, no slouches themselves at 3-0 in District 21-3A, beat rival Orangefield 11-10 on Saturday. The are tied for the district lead with Silsbee (3-0), West Orange-Stark (2-1), Orangefield (1-2), Hardin-Jefferson (0-3) and Hamshire-Fannett (0-3).

The Lady Cardinals will face the Lady Tigers at home on Friday for the outright district lead. They will play at WO-S the next day.

The Lady Mustangs will play at Orangefield Friday night, and then the Lady Bobcats will play at H-F on Saturday.
