Donald Wayne Gobert, 44, of Vidor, passed March 31, near Kirbyville.

He was born Oct. 13, 1967, in Oakdale, LA, to Lucius and Dorothy Richard Gobert. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army during the Gulf War.

Funeral services will be held at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland, on Thursday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev, George Gau officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home.

Donald is preceded in death by his father, Lucius Gobert and brother, Johnny Gobert.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Gobert of Vidor; daughter, Brittany Gobert of Port Neches; son, Colby Wayne Gobert of Vidor; mother, Dorothy Gobert of Oakdale; two brothers, Bobby Gobert of Beaumont and Bill Gobert of Batesville, Ar; sister, Judy Ashcraft of Batesville; and grandchild, Gabriel Hickling of Port Neches.
