Myrtle Faye Womack, 71, of Deweyville passed away on April 3, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. She was a native of Many, LA; born on Oct. 4, 1940 to her late parents Myrtle (Alford) and Arthur Rhodes.

She had lived in the Orange area, and the last 44 years in Deweyville. She loved crafts, crocheting, and painting, and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Womack was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Willy Walker; brothers, Reginald and Jack Allred.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tommy Womack of Deweyville; daughter, Shannon Carroll and husband, Richard of Galveston; son, Stephen Womack and wife, Kelli of Deweyville; grandchildren, Logan Womack, Seth Womack, Ian Carroll; sisters, Wanda Carruthers of Vinton, Dot Farmer of Orange, Gaynell Hardin of Toledo Bend and Norma Hallmark of Many.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at First Baptist Church of Deweyville.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 6, at 10:00 am at the church, with the Rev. Damon Bickham officiating.

A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm, at Big Sandy Cemetery.
