Tuesday evening, Officer Troy Tyson was dispatched to the lobby of the police dept. to meet with a complainant in reference to a criminal mischief/damaged property report.

Officer Tyson met with the victim, Darryl Moreland upon arrival at 11:08 pm. Moreland told police that he parked his maroon Mazda in his driveway in the 200 block of Knox. There was no visible damage to the vehicle until about 11:45 pm when Moreland went back outside and he noticed his vehicle had been keyed by an unknown suspect.

Moreland stated that the suspect keyed his vehicle started on the front driver’s side quarter panel, all the way to the rear driver’s side bumper. The victim also said he didn’t hear or see anybody causing the damage to the vehicle, but he would like to press charges if a suspect is located.
