Amy Lynne McKee of Leander passed from this world on Tuesday, May 29, at the age of 37. Funeral services were Sunday, June 3, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, Austin. The Rev. Bonnie Connor officiated. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. at noon Monday, June 4.

Amy was born April 3, 1975, in Port Arthur; the daughter of Paula and Michael Quebedeaux. She graduated from Bridge City High School in 1993. On July 3, 1993 she married Jeffrey McKee. Amy brought two beautiful girls into the world. Katie Elizabeth McKee was born May 10, 1997 and Alison Rene McKee on Nov. 23, 1998.

Amy worked as a preschool teacher for many years, customer service at Wal-Mart for the past 2 ½ years but her most rewarding career was being a loving mother to her beautiful girls Katie and Allie. Amy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include husband, Jeffrey Scot McKee of Lake Jackson, TX .; daughters, Katie Elizabeth McKee and Allison Rene McKee of Leander; mother, Paula Quebedeaux of Bridge City; brother, Lawson Loper III of Bridge City; sister, Misti Richard of Nederland. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
