Bridge City Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Sure Catch Seafood on Roundbunch Ave.

Sure Catch Seafood located at 605 W. Roundbunch, across from the Bridge City Community Center, along with the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce celebrated with a ribbon cutting on June 6, 2012. Sure Catch Seafood officially opened their doors on February 10, 2012, to a standing room only crowd.

Owner Cathy Clark states, “The warm welcome they have received in Bridge City has been tremendous.”

With four months under their belt, business is still going strong and the buzz around town is that the food is awesome, prices are good and portions are large.

Owners Scott and Cathy Clark first began talking about opening their own restaurant shortly after they married.  It took nearly 20 years of saving to have the capital to realize that dream. Clark states, “Glenda Granger, Manager, has been with her every step of the way from getting the building ready, designing the menu and creating recipes.”

Most businesses take several months to get ready to open but Clark reports she had an outstanding group of friends helping her and that it was only two months from lease signing to opening day. From the moment you walk in the front door it is evident that you are in a family owned/operated business.

Granger states “many of us are family or have become like family. Everyone that works here truly cares about each other and the success of the restaurant.”

Clark also states that “our menu will continue to transition into what the community wants. We have already added po-boys to the menu due to overwhelming demand from our customers.”

They serve fish, shrimp, oysters, chicken and chicken fried steaks in addition to numerous sides and appetizers. Fish, shrimp and chicken can be order fried or grilled.

They open at 11 a.m. seven days a week and close at 9 p.m. every day except Sunday when they close at 2 p.m.
