Robin Love Hanks Cathey, 56, of Beaumont, died Saturday, June 16. Born May 30, 1956, and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Robin is the daughter of Virginia Sibley Hanks and Pat Hanks. She was employed as the Senior Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science Department at Lamar University and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Jenna Cathey of Beaumont and Janis Marie Cathey of Vidor; mother, Virginia Hanks of Beaumont; granddaughters, Khloe Love Cathey and Kayla Neff; Jenna and Janis's father, Alan Cathey of Beaumont; aunt, Jean Arthur of Colmesniel; cousins, L. E. Hanks, Jr., David Hanks, Cherye Hill, and Teresa Pierce; and her cat, Symba.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, Pat Hanks.

A gathering of Robin's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, June 19, at Broussard's, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, at Broussard's, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
