Students interested in beginning their studies at Lamar University this fall should submit all admission application materials as soon as possible. The application deadline for Fall 2012 is Friday, Aug. 10.

To be considered for Fall 2012, prospective undergraduate students must submit an online application and all required documents no later than 5:00 p.m., Aug. 10. Required documents include high school transcripts and SAT or ACT scores for incoming freshmen and college transcripts for transfer students.

New students and those returning after a break in enrollment must apply and be admitted to Lamar University before registering for fall classes. After being accepted for admission, new students will be required to complete additional steps, including providing proof of bacterial meningitis immunization or exemption, prior to meeting with an academic adviser and registering for classes. Registration is ongoing for current students and those who have been accepted for admission beginning this fall. Fall classes begin Monday, Aug. 27 and continue through Wednesday, Dec. 5, with final examinations concluding Dec. 12.
