Theresa Diaz Grant, 46 of Bridge City passed away on July 31, at her residence. Theresa was born on Oct. 27, 1965 in Port Arthur to Gilbert and Isabella Sandoval Diaz. She was a 32 year resident of Port Arthur prior to moving to Bridge City 14 years ago.

Theresa was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1984, was a wonderful wife, mother and an avid fan of baseball. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Charles W. Grant of Bridge City, son, Ashton C. Grant of Bridge City, brothers, Gilbert Diaz of Houston, Robert J. and his wife Lisa Diaz of Groves, Ernesto Diaz of Port Arthur, George and his wife Lenora Diaz of Port Arthur, sisters, Yolanda and husband Charles Schrader of Port Neches, Delores (Bede) Trahan of Port Arthur and Rosie Cardenas of Port Arthur. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many close friends and extended Baseball families.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the many doctors and nurses that helped care for Theresa for the past three years.

Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 3, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M at Clayton Thompson funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4600 Procter Street, Port Arthur, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
