The Celebration of Life for Mr. Wesley James Zeigler, Sr., 65 of Orange, will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul C.M.E. Church. The Rev. Deandre Bell is the pastor. The Rev. Eddie Lee Smith, pastor of New Beginnings Outreach Ministry will officiate. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. He died Friday, July 27, at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston.

An Orange native, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was Discharged with Honors. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Metal, O/S Bars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Expert M14 Medal, and the Sharpshooter M16 Metal.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Zeigler of Orange; three sons, Wesley J. Zeigler, Jr.

and wife Patricia of Columbus, OH, Roderick N. Zeigler and wife Twanna, also of Columbus, and Vages Degay of Orange; three daughters, Francessca Zeigler of Orange and Shontell Barry and husband Anthony of Beaumont, and Shonda Vallen of Columbus; his mother, Nina Zeigler of Orange, five brothers, Louis Zeigler, Jr.

and wife Janet of Port Arthur, George Zeigler, Rev Leneal Zeigler and wife Bernice, and Louis M. Zeigler and wife Betty, all of Orange, and Jessie Zeigler and wife Virginia of Stockton, CA; four sisters, Minister Georgia Beasley of Beaumont, Chattie Moore and husband James , and Nina Ziegler all of Orange, and Joyce Mims and husband James of Port Arthur, and 15 grandchildren.
